PT HIN IS CONDUCTING A REBRANDING 3 HOTELS TO PROMOTE LOCAL WISDOM

THE State-Owned Company hotel holding, namely PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (HIN), is rebranding its 3 hotel units as an effort to promote local wisdom and uniqueness that exists in every region in Indonesia.

According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, said I appreciate PT Hotel Indonesia Natour for rebranding its 3 hotel units. The three hotel units that have a new look include Inaya Putri Bali (5 star hotel) to Merusaka Nusa Dua – Grand Inna Padang (4 star hotel) to Truntum Padang. Then Inna Parapat (3 star hotel) became Typical Parapat.

“Ministry of BUMN has formed a holding state-owned company hotel in two management programs and development of State-Owned Company hotel holding in the future, namely holding ownership held by a subsidiary of PT Wijaya Karya, PT Wijaya Karya Realty, and holding operatorship for HIN which is then handed over to Hotel Indonesia, Group (HIG) as a subsidiary,” said Sandiaga.

Minister Sandiaga Uno added that the Tourism Ministry appreciated the steps taken by the state-owned company hotel holding to carry out a transformation in the midst of a pandemic. This momentum is expected to be able to revive the tourism and the creative economy sector both in Bali and throughout Indonesia.

“Indeed, this is the right time for us to make improvements, because in the midst of this pandemic we have time to think again. This is part of innovation, adaptation, and collaboration. The State-Owned Company friends also agree that the tourism & creative economy sector will be the locomotive out of this pandemic. Especially with the rebranding of 3 hotels that have elements of local wisdom, we hope that new opportunities and job opportunities will be created,” he stated.

Sandiaga explained that hotel ownership and management should be separated, as is done by state-owned hotel holding in order to facilitate performance. Then with this rebranding program, it is hoped that it will further increase the value of the State-Owned Company-owned hotels and build a positive image for guests. Of course, this must be accompanied by new innovations adapted to current conditions, both in services, products, and human resources.

“In the future, it is hoped that we can collaborate together to advance tourism and Indonesia’s creative economy by taking concrete actions to support the recovery of tourism and the creative economy,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister II of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said that the Ministry of State-Owned Company launched 3 brands from the previous hotel rebranding program which would be gradually included in the State-Owned Company hotel holding. Then gradually in 2021 there will be 29 hotels under State-Owned Company that will carry out rebranding.

“In the next 3 years we will rebrand 111 hotels, so it is hoped that in the future as tourism improves post-pandemic we will already have many new hotels that have an Indonesian taste and provide pride for local brands, as well as carry local wisdom in their respective regions,” he added.

Likewise, the Managing Director of HIN Iswandi Said added that PT. HIN is determined to be able to professionally manage state-owned hotel chains with international standards in the midst of new normal adaptations, while at the same time carrying local wisdom or Indonesian hospitality.

“We have ambitions to host our own country as one of the Indonesian hotel chains. By paying attention to various important elements that are unique to Indonesia, namely sight in the form of Indonesian woven fabrics, sound in the form of traditional Indonesian music, taste in the form of Indonesian food with international standards, scent in the form of ingredients and aromatic typical of Indonesia, and a touch of Indonesian hospitality,” he concluded.
