STATE-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Erick Thohir revealed that all world racers who took part in the prestigious World Superbike 2021 motorcycle racing event admired the beauty of the Mandalika Circuit.
“All racers were amazed by the beauty of the circuit. Italian Ducati racer Michael Ruben Rinaldi even directly expressed his appreciation to Indonesian President Jokowi,” said Erick Thohir as quoted from his Instagram account @erickthohir in Jakarta, Sunday (11/21).
In the video uploaded to the SOE Minister’s Instagram account, Ducati team racer Michael Rinaldi expressed his appreciation to Indonesian President Jokowi and SOE Minister Erick Thohir who had built the Mandalika Circuit in Central Lombok, NTB.
“Thank you, Mr. President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi and Mr. Erick Thohir, for the cool circuit. Thank you,” said Michael Rinaldi.
Previously, the Vice President Director of MGPA, Cahyadi Wanda, appreciated the response of the WSBK racers who praised the superiority of the asphalt technology of the Mandalika Circuit, after experiencing firsthand the moment of free practice on the first day of the race.
The positive comments were poured directly on the MGPA’s official twitter account, most of which mentioned that the asphalt technology at the Mandalika Circuit allowed the racer’s speed to remain stable even in sharp turns.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, admitted that he was impressed by the existence of the Mandalika Circuit in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, which also offers natural views of the combination of hills and beaches.
