THE Philippine Tourism Department (PDOT) stated that the readiness to welcome Indonesian tourist visits since the Philippines has re-opened the State border for international travelers since February 10, 2022, which was followed by the release of the COVID-19 pre-appointment test requirements for passengers who had received complete vaccination as of 30 May 2022.
According to Buena Carla F. Zaldivia, PDOT Route Development Head and Market Development Head for Indonesia during the Astindo Hybrid Travel Fair 2022 event recently at PIK Avenue Mall, North Jakarta said that since the opening of the State border until 7 August 2022 Department of Tourism recorded 1.1 million arrivals foreign tourists.
“To maintain this momentum, for the first time since Pandemic, PDOT Indonesia, who was back at the Astindo Hybrid Travel Fair 2022 exhibition and became a preferred nature destination is accompanied by various reasons why the Philippines is an interesting destination to be visited again,” said Carla.
She explained, the Philippines is home to the world’s famous natural wonders such as underground rivers and green rice fields, extraordinary diving places that are rich in diversity, colorful public transportation in the Philippines, and a variety of unique culinary specialties.
