AUSTRALIA ISSUING TRAVEL ADVICE AFTER RATIFICATION OF THE CRIMINAL CODE

MINISTER of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno guarantees the comfort of tourists, especially from Australia. This was said to be in response to Australia’s attitude in issuing travel advice after the ratification of the Criminal Code.

“Indeed it is the prerogative of the state to issue a travel warning and we will convey to them what we have done here, and guarantee that tourists are safe, the red carpet has been rolled out and welcome to Indonesia,” said Sandiaga.

He explained that the travel advice given by Australia will take effect three years from now. For this reason, I claimed to have prepared concrete steps to ensure the comfort of tourists.

“I will personally guarantee that they (Australia) don’t have to worry and don’t have to hesitate to travel here, because we will prepare steps. Including I will also coordinate with friends on the legal side, along with the National Police Chief as well, and legal officials.,” he noted.

However, Sandiaga Uno admitted that his party had communicated with the Australian Ambassador to follow up on the travel advice.

Not only that, he continued that would cooperate with the police and other tourism actors to provide a sense of security for tourists.vAnd we explain to Australia, Australia is our main market, especially in Bali. And we proactively not only think about it but also carry out what we have done.

Finally, he said he would carry out a thorough socialization through a tourism awareness group which he said played a role in the creative tourism economic sector
