100 MUSICIANS HEAL SUMATRA HOLDS CHARITY CONCERT FOR FLOOD VICTIMS

THE MINISTRY of Creative Economy (Ekraf) collaborated with 100 musicians to host a charity concert, “100 Musicians Heal Sumatra,” as a gesture of empathy and solidarity. This event was organized to raise funds for those affected by the recent floods in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The inaugural concert took place at T-Space, Bintaro, South Tangerang, on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

This week, we convened to express our solidarity with 100 Indonesian musicians who are offering their assistance to our brothers and sisters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. “The Ministry of Creative Economy is committed to supporting our friends in a sustainable manner that also reduces the burden on our brothers and sisters in the Sumatra region,” said Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya.

The Minister expressed gratitude to all parties involved in the collaboration, including the Ministry of Culture, the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI), and several other strategic partners who implemented innovative social movements to raise funds.

“By working together for the sake of humanity, we pray that the areas affected by the disaster can recover quickly from the donations that have been collected,” said Teuku Rifky.

Charity Concert: 100 Musicians-Heal Sumatra serves as both a performance stage and a humanitarian movement. Its primary objectives are to raise funds, provide moral support, and strengthen the spirit of recovery for survivors. The concert was initiated by Tompi (musician), Irma Hutabarat (journalist and social activist), and Kodri Mohammad (lawyer). The concert also featured renowned musicians such as Vina Panduwinata, Judika, Nyoman Paul, Rio Febrian, Sandy Sandoro, Marcello Tahitoe, and Netta KD, among others.

“Each tear shed is a reflection of our profound concern for our brothers and sisters facing adversity. It is imperative that we extend our reach immediately to ensure the continuity of this generosity and benevolence. The musicians’ craft provides a form of solace through the medium of beautiful tunes and thoughtful lyrics. We hope that your generosity will be reciprocated,” said Irma Hutabarat.

The 100 Musicians Charity Concert will also be held again on Tuesday, December 16, at Lippo Mall Kemang, South Jakarta. Individuals interested in making a donation can do so directly via the BNI account, 2025807896, in the name of ILUNI UI. [traveltext.id]
