PARTNER, Leader of Mckinsey Digital Labs North Asia, Dilip Mistry, said that shifting consumer habits will change digital business trends in the pandemic and post-epidemic periods.
Through a virtual broadcast with Gojek Xcelerate, Mistry said there are six main points related to change, and the implications for building a business in the present and future.
“First is e-commerce and online models will develop in (business models) B2C and B2B, and have a positive impact on those who move quickly from omni-channel to all-digital,” Mistry said.
According to Mistry, this is driven by changes in which consumers and business people prefer to shop online significantly.
Furthermore, the change in work style that can be done remotely or remotely is also a value he will make the team become more flexible and strengthen the agility and efficiency of work, even though not face to face.
Furthermore, Mistry said that the existence of new gaps in the supply chain and a surge in demand for services and products that did not exist before would also shift digital business trends.
“A simpler and more flexible supply chain will be more successful, and the entire industry will switch to online models such as learning, health services, and even household services,” Mistry added.
Meanwhile, the last two points are that the COVID-19 pandemic seems to be moving the focus on connected infrastructure to meet sudden increases in consumption. And because remote work is becoming more and more natural, apparently it can affect the surrounding environment becoming cleaner.
“And finally, air quality has improved because of significantly reduced air pollution and CO2 emissions. This raises new sustainable alternatives for traditional business solutions, especially in energy, which will get stronger customer appeal,” Mistry concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
