NEGERI Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warrior State), which is located in the Province of Bangka-Belitung Islands, does offer a charming tourism sensation. Not only does it have a beautiful beach, but there are also various kinds of culinary delights that can pamper tourists, such as nasi lemak and chicken team rice, to the unique night animal, tarsiers.
With various tourist attractions, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, invites domestic tourists to visit and travel to destinations in Belitung.
“I want to invite domestic tourists to come to Belitung. Because so many tourist attractions are offered in this Rainbow Troops Country. We must be proud to travel in Indonesia. So, in 2021 we can rise up and we can restore our nation’s tourism and creative economy,” said Sandiaga in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung.
He explained, if Belitung wants to be the number six super priority destination, it must prepare 360 degrees the side, the sound, the feel, the taste, the vibration, the resonance. Because once tourists set foot in Belitung, from the music, aroma, to Belitung’s special culinary delights, they must appear.
“This must be packaged properly and as attractive as possible as Belitung’s superior products,” he said.
Apart from culinary delights, Sandiaga also had the opportunity to visit Peramun Hill which is located in Air Selumar Village, Belitung, with a forest area of 115 hectares. This area is also covered with several types of medicinal plants. Uniquely, in Peramun Hill, there are rare endemic primates, namely tarsiers. This animal has large eyes with a body size of a palm. It is estimated that there are currently 80 tarsiers left.
“For that I advise that the Bukit Peramun area can be managed properly. Because the tourist village of Air Selumar which will later be part of a unit for ecotourism, we need to pay attention and we protect the environment. This will be a superior tourism product in the midst of a pandemic, because many people are looking for tourism products in the open air,” Sandiaga noted.
He added, I hope that the Governor of Bangka Belitung and the Regent of Belitung will follow up on the development of Peramun Hill, which is planned to be integrated with the Community Forest (HKm) in Juru Seberang Village. This step we must manage for the next three years. So, tracking from HKm Juru Seberang to Bukit Peramun can be an integrated one.
In addition to the superiority of tarsier endemic animals, Peramun Hill has various digital innovations initiated by the Bukit Peramun tourism management community. Through this digital application, tourists can get interactive information about the Bukit Peramun area.
“So this is a digital tourism village that has a hologram. Earlier there were several trees that could be scanned using a QR Code with a special application, then a story about the tree came out. There is also information about rock formations, as well as good and instagramable high places or locations,” he stated.
He concluded, Belitung does offer a very extraordinary sensation. But we have to limit it in order to preserve the environment, but this is part of Indonesia’s nature which in my opinion is very promising as a leading destination. Hopefully Belitung can become an icon of tourism and Indonesia’s creative economy, which can also create jobs. [traveltext.id]
