THE MINISTRY of Tourism and Creative Economy receives the audience of the Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan, in Jakarta, Tuesday (8/16). On the opportunity to discuss the current conditions of tourism and the creative economy as well as various opportunities for cooperation in an effort to encourage economic revival and open employment opportunities.
According to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno said one of them was through exploring cooperation to increase the capacity and competence of human resources (HR) as an effort to create human resources with competency standards for tourism professionals.
“We appreciate and welcome the open plans and opportunities for this collaboration. We have six Poltekpar (Tourism Polytechnic) one of which is in Bali, whose graduates produce many reliable tourism workers. Like the best chefs, and many are absorbed by the industry,” said Sandiaga.
This collaboration includes student exchanges. Either from Brunei Darussalam to get learning at the tourism Tourism Polytechnic students who can study the field at hotels in Brunei.
“Human resources are one of the main factors in our efforts to accelerate the recovery of conditions in various sectors to be stronger in facing global challenges. Making the crisis an opportunity, one of which is supported by digitalization,” said Sandiaga.
On that occasion, Minister Sandiaga Uno also invited investors from Brunei Darussalam to be able to invest in various strategic tourism projects such as in 5 super priority destinations and various special economic zones.
“I also invite the participation of the Brunei Darussalam delegation to attend World Tourism Day as well as the World Creative Economy Conference in Bali which is part of the G20 Indonesia Presidency,” Sandiaga remarked.
Meanwhile Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan welcomed and appreciated the openness of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in a collaborative effort to encourage the revival of the tourism sector and the creative economy.
