SPAIN requires travelers from China to present a negative result for a COVID-19 test or proof of full dose vaccination with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
“This resolution also stipulates the requirement of the European Union Covid Digital Certificate (CCD-EU) or its equivalent for all passengers on flights from China from 3 January 2023 (Tuesday),” read the announcement from the Spanish Ministry of Health website, quoted on Monday (01/02) 2023.
It is planned that this policy will be implemented until next February, Wednesday (15/2/2023 to be precise). Reporting from Schengenvisainfo.com, travelers from China will pass a number of checks, starting from documents and body temperature to diagnostic tests for active infection of SARS-CoV-2.
The travel conditions for arrivals from the Bamboo Curtain country are implemented due to concerns due to the increasing COVID-19 infection in China, which will open its borders after three years. This policy only applies to travelers on flights from China, but does not apply to travelers from Hong Kong.
For your information, China plans to open its borders on Sunday (08/01) 2023 after previously implementing restrictions for about three years.
