US multinational aircraft industry company Boeing reported 774 orders for commercial aircraft in 2022. These included 561 orders for the 737 family and 213 orders for double-aisle aircraft.
As of Wednesday, (10/11) 2023, Boeing delivered 69 commercial jets in December, including 53 737 MAX aircraft, bringing the total deliveries for 2022 to 480 aircraft.
According to company reports, commercial orders in 2022 included 561 orders for the 737 MAX, and there were new customers such as ANA, Delta Air Lines, IAG and low-cost carrier Arajet. The order for the wide-body aircraft includes 114 787 dreamliners, 31 767s and 68 777s.
There are 78 orders across Boeing’s cargo line. Its commercial deliveries in 2022 include 387 737s and 93 other wide-body aircraft. As of December 31, 2022, the commercial aircraft backlog (list of orders that have not been handled) reached 4,578 jets.
“We are working hard in 2022 to stabilize 737 productions, resume 787 deliveries, launch 777-8 Freighter,” said Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Stan Deal.
“As the aviation industry expands on its recovery, we are seeing strong demand across our product range, particularly the highly efficient 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner.
