2025, SAM AIR WILL ADD AIRCRAFT AFTER BEING ACQUIRED BY YASA ARTA

PIONEER airline PT Semuwa Aviasi Mandiri (SAM Air) together with its new controller PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for the procurement of 12 new aircraft from PT Dirgantara Indonesia.

According to Yenna Yuniana, President Director of Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, said our company has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with SAM Air for the purchase of two Cassa 212 aircraft and ten N219 aircraft from PT Dirgantara Indonesia.

“This agreement is the first step in a series of larger strategic collaborations that are expected to strengthen the air transport ecosystem to support national food security,” Yenna said in an official statement on Monday (11/25), 2024.

Delivery of the Cassa 212 aircraft is scheduled for March 2025, while the N219 aircraft is expected to arrive in mid-2027. Both aircraft types will be optimally utilized to support the national food supply to remote areas, as well as to provide air transportation for the Indonesian archipelago.

Yenna explained that with the addition of this fleet, PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal and SAM Air can more effectively reach remote areas that are highly dependent on air transportation for their daily needs, including food and other basic necessities.

It is known that Yasa Artha Trimanunggal has just acquired SAM Air. Yenna said that Yasa Artha Trimanunggal officially acquired SAM Air on September 30, 2024.

“The acquisition of SAM Air is a true manifestation of our commitment to continue supporting government programs to improve food security,” Yenna concluded. [sources/photo special]
