AG STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN C. JAVA TO MANAGED TWO HOTELS

ARTOTEL Group (AG) has been appointed by Sun Motor Group as the third-party operator of Ramada by Wyndham Yogyakarta and Wyndham Garden Yogyakarta Conference Hotel & Action Park. The two properties embrace a resort-inspired-by-nature concept, offering a destination for leisure travelers and business guests seeking a more relaxed atmosphere with convenient access to Yogyakarta, Magelang, and Borobudur.

According to Eduard Rudolf Pangkerego, Chief Operating Officer of AG at the press conference on Saturday (10/17), 2026 said through this appointment, AG will optimize the potential of both properties by leveraging its hospitality industry experience, operational capabilities, and understanding of evolving market trends and guest needs.

“This development further strengthens ARTOTEL Group’s portfolio in Central Java while expanding its management presence in the hospitality segment, combining accommodation, business facilities, and recreational experiences,” he said.

However, when asked how optimistic he was about these two properties, Eduard immediately answered we are optimistic about maximizing the potential of both properties by creating synergies between hotel facilities, business needs, and recreational activities within one integrated destination.

“Supported by ARTOTEL Group’s extensive hospitality ecosystem across Central Java and other regions of Indonesia, we are committed to delivering a consistent hospitality experience, strengthening the properties’ competitiveness, and driving business performance,” Eduard affirmed.

Likewise, when asked about maintaining brand identity and guest experience, Eduard explained that in managing hotels with different brands, ARTOTEL Group emphasizes the importance of respecting brand identity and agreements with property owners and license holders.

“The use of the operator’s identity, including the operated by sign, must follow the applicable cooperation provisions. In this way, the hotel’s brand identity is maintained, while the operator carries out management responsibilities according to the agreement,” he added.

Hotel Management Model Provides Flexibility to Owners
One of ARTOTEL Group’s focuses is to provide professional management services for property owners. Through the hotel management model, the owner still owns the assets, while the operator carries out operations according to the scope and cooperation agreement, with compensation in the form of a management fee.

“This model allows hotel owners to maintain their own brands without having to handle all the operational complexities independently. Operators can help develop service systems, sales, marketing, loyalty programs, and implement operational standards to support business performance,” he noted.

This scheme also opens up opportunities for collaboration with international brands and hotels that want to maintain their own identity. With the support of professional operators, owners can focus on asset development, while day-to-day management is handled by a team with competency in the hospitality sector.

“This approach provides flexibility to property owners in determining the identity and direction of hotel development. At the same time, operator support is expected to help improve service quality, operational efficiency and business potential according to market characteristics and needs,” Eduard concluded.

Meanwhile Erik R. Tumbelaka, General Manager Hotel said with ARTOTEL Group’s experience in managing boutique hotels across Central Java and surrounding areas, including Yogyakarta, Semarang, Magelang, and Wonosobo, we are proud and honored to have been entrusted with the management of Ramada by Wyndham Yogyakarta and Wyndham Garden Yogyakarta Conference Hotel & Action Park.

In the future, Wyndham Garden and Ramada business development will be directed at optimizing facilities, expanding market segments, and collaborating with various parties. Managers also need to evaluate programs periodically so that they remain relevant to changing tourist needs.

Community activities, sports, recreation and organizing events are a number of opportunities that can be developed based on market needs and facility readiness. This approach is expected to expand customer reach while strengthening the position of both properties in the competitive hotel industry.

Through professional management strategies and the development of diverse experience, AG seeks to optimize the potential of its two properties in the Yogyakarta area and its surroundings. Utilizing sports facilities, recreation and community activities is one approach to building different attractions while capturing opportunities from tourist trips and large-scale activities in regional areas.

To accommodate meetings, conferences, and various events, the two hotels feature nine meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 50 to 300 guests, as well as one ballroom accommodating up to 1,000 guests.
