SOETTA AIRPORT PREPARES PASSENGERS SPECIAL LANE FOR THREE COUNTRIES

PT ANGKASA Pura II  applies a special lane to ensure procedures for limiting the arrival of passengers on the road in full for people coming from three countries namely Iran, Italy and South Korea.

The Indonesian government places restrictions on people arriving from the three countries starting on Sunday (8/3). Previously, restrictions were also placed on airplane passengers arriving from mainland China.

According to President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said, supervision is carried out strictly starting from checking travel documents to medical examinations.

He added, each airline would provide information on the number of passengers from Iran, Italy and South Korea to the Port Health Office and PT Angkasa Pura II. At present the Indonesian Government does not prohibit flights or traveler arrivals from Iran, Italy, and South Korea. However, what the government does is do restrictions.

People who arrive from the 3 countries are allowed to enter Indonesia if they have a health certificate, provided the certificate has been checked and declared valid by the CTF, even though they have a history of travel less than the last 14 days to these countries.

“The health certificate must include at least two information, namely Fit to Travel and Free from Respiratory Diseases. For foreign nationals who do not carry a health certificate it is certain to be refused entry into Indonesia,” said Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin said that PT Angkasa Pura II along with other stakeholders had also carried out strict health inspection procedures.

“The examination of the body temperature of airplane passengers in the Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 3 international arrival area is carried out for 24 hours. There are two tools to check body temperature, namely thermal scanner and thermo gun,” Awaluddin concluded. [antaranews/pphoto special]
