GATF 2022 PREPARES MORE TOURIST OFFERS FOR DOMESTIC DESTINATIONS

GARUDA Indonesia airline through the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2022 prepares more tourist offers for domestic destinations than international ones.

“We present attractive offers for two types of destinations (international and domestic), but we focus more on domestic ones,” said Garuda Indonesia Director of Service and Commerce Ade R Susardi in Sarinah, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (10/19).

GATF is an annual exhibition held by Garuda Indonesia to present attractive offers for the public to be able to get a travel experience at more affordable prices including flight ticket discounts of up to 80%.

The GATF event is back in 2022 and will take place at ICE BSD on 28-30 October 2022. Regarding the domestic tourism offerings in question, this includes the Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP) developed by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Ade explained that several attractive offers for domestic tourist destinations include Jakarta-Yogyakarta (pp) flights starting from IDR 900 thousand. Then there are Jakarta-Medan (round-trip) flights starting from IDR1.6 million to Jakarta-Surabaya (round-trip) flights starting from IDR1.2 million.

Not to forget there are also flight offers for attractive international tourist destinations such as the Jakarta-Singapore (round-trip) route starting from IDR2.4 million to the Jakarta-Sydney (round-trip) route starting from IDR6.2 million.

Ade expressed his hope that the presence of GATF 2022 could trigger tourism growth in Indonesia in line with the national campaign to travel #DiIndonesiaAja.

“So, we do serve all destinations, including priority destinations. But we also hope that through GATF 2022 we can also help other tourist destinations that are not as popular as these tourist destinations. We basically want to help the community and economic growth through tourism,” Ade remarked.

For the number of flight seats prepared at GATF 2022, Ade said there were 38,000 passenger seats sold in the event which lasted for three days. To make travel travel more affordable for the public, Garuda Indonesia is also collaborating with a bank which is also a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), namely Mandiri.

“This GATF is also assisted and supported by Bank Mandiri, which is increasingly helping the community to facilitate payments and presenting certain promotions. Of course, it will make it easier for prospective passengers,” Ade concluded. [antaranews]
