IT IS hoped that the construction of the Embassy 1967 Restaurant building in Singapore can strengthen the Indonesian (RI) culinary specialty on the world stage.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno in his statement, after attending the Groundbreaking of Embassy 1967 Restaurant, which took place at Wisma Atria 18th floor, Singapore, Monday (9/18), 2023, he appreciated Embassy 1967 Restaurant and Indonesia’s leading culinary experts for the initiation and collaboration the positive.
This is in line with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s mission to support the expansion of Indonesian restaurants or herbs and spices so that they become increasingly popular abroad.
“Today I had the opportunity to attend the Groundbreaking of the Embassy 1967 Restaurant. This is something we should appreciate for all parties involved. I hope that the presence of this restaurant will further strengthen the Indonesian culinary showcase abroad, which is known as the mother of spices,” said Sandiaga.
With the construction of the Embassy Restaurant 1967, Indonesia’s rich and diverse cultural heritage can be enjoyed through the presence of Indonesian cuisine in the heart of Singapore.
Embassy 1967 will offer a different culinary experience. And with the cooking skills of the best chefs who will attract not only visitors from Singapore, but also international visitors from other countries.
The Indonesian government developed a program called “Indonesia Spice Up the World” which is a joint program across ministries/agencies and across stakeholders to support increasing the contribution and added value of the culinary subsector to the national economy.
This program has a target of increasing the number of spice or seasoning exports by US$ 2 billion and opening 4,000 Indonesian restaurants abroad by 2024. [traveltext.id]
