THE MINISTRY of Tourism, in collaboration with the Indonesian Economic and Trade Office (KDEI) in Taipei, is strengthening the promotion of Indonesian tourism, especially the five Super Priority Destinations (5 DSP), by participating in the Taipei International Travel Fair (TITF) 2024, which will take place from November 1-4, 2024.
In a recent statement in Jakarta, Deputy for Marketing Ni Made Ayu Marthini highlighted the potential of the Taipei International Travel Fair (TITF) as a valuable platform for Indonesia to diversify its tourism promotions in Taiwan. Organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association, TITF is one of the largest international tourism exhibitions in Taiwan.
“The objective is to increase tourism promotion through product knowledge and updates regarding the five Super Priority Destinations and the 3B region, which includes Banyuwangi, North Bali, and West Bali,” said Made.
The number of tourists from Taiwan who have visited Indonesia in the first eight months of 2024 reached 127,610. Given this figure, Indonesia’s involvement in the TITF event is highly strategic in achieving the target of 14.3 million foreign tourist visits in 2024.
At the 2024 TITF event, the Ministry of Tourism facilitated the procurement of the Indonesian pavilion by occupying an area of 36 square meters in Hall 1 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and the Taipei KDEI have provided accommodation for six Indonesian tourism industries with a range of backgrounds. Visitors to the pavilion can also access information services, participate in mini surveys and questionnaires, and receive promotional materials. Additionally, we conduct sales calls to offices (travel agents/tour operators), TA/TO, airlines, and tourism application companies in Taipei.
“It is our hope that this activity will result in a sustainable increase in foreign tourist visits, particularly from Taiwan to Indonesia,” concluded Made. [traveltext.id]
