SUPPORTING TOURISM, SRIWIJAYA AIR OPENS FLIGHT JAKARTA-MALANG

SRIWIJAYA Air flights open new Jakarta-Malang (PP) routes as of March 1, 2020 to support the development of classy tourism in Malang, East Java and surrounding areas.

“As of March 1, 2020, Sriwijaya Air re-operated the Jakarta-Malang PP route with certain considerations,” Sriwijaya Air Vice President Networking & Revenue Management A Yani Azwar told a press statement in Makassar.

He added, these considerations included, the existence of several classy tourist destinations in Malang and its surroundings had successfully transformed Malang into one of the favorite tourist destinations in Indonesia. This reason is one of the factors that solidified Sriwijaya Air’s decision to re-operate Jakarta-Malang PP direct flights twice a day starting March 1, 2020.

“The re-operation of the Jakarta-Malang PP direct flight route was due to high customer demand. Initially the Jakarta-Malang-Jakarta flight route was one of the routes that was quite popular for Sriwijaya Air customers but later it was abolished,” he said.

He explained, this new route was re-operated as a response from Sriwijaya Air’s management to customer requests who hoped to reopen the Jakarta-Malang (PP) flight route.

Re-operation of the Jakarta-Malang PP route is not only enforced once but twice daily with the Jakarta-Malang morning flight at 09.30 WIB while Malang-Jakarta at 11.50 WIB.

Meanwhile, Jakartaalang afternoon flights are available at 13.30 WIB while Malang-Jakarta is at 15.50 WIB. Thus the re-operation of this flight route will be welcomed by the large millennials market in both cities, Jakarta and Malang.

On this Jakarta-Malang PP flight, Sriwijaya Air enforces a free baggage policy of 20 kilograms per person and an additional 5 kilograms per person for those carrying sports equipment, bicycles, surfboards, golf & zamzam water.
