AFTER nearly three months undergoing a period of independent quarantine, some people can not wait to go on vacation when entering a new normal era. What kind of tour is the traveler most looking for?
HIS Travel Indonesia predicts that natural tourism will be the people’s first choice for a vacation. After experiencing burnout at home, many people want to take a walk to enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty.
“Besides that, vacationing in nature can also provide flexibility to maintain physical distance with other tourists,” said GM of HIS Travel Indonesia Business Strategy Management, Duma Asianna through his official statement.
Duma added for a new normal start, people will tend to choose tourist attractions that are not far from home such as mountains or peaks.
“Tourists will first choose a short distance vacation in an area not far from where they live or we often call staycation. So, people will choose the road to the beach, peak or mountains by road trip,” explained Duma.
Road trip is the term for a holiday trip made by driving a car. Using public transportation is still considered too risky for health, so the main choice is by private car.
“Driving in a private car for a vacation with family will be considered more comfortable,” said Duma.
Even though road trips are considered to require more energy and time, there are a lot of fun things that can be obtained during road trips such as quality time and free stops anywhere to explore new places to try local cuisine.
“It is not impossible, people also want to take a vacation just by staying at the hotel on weekends because of the longing to enjoy the service of staying in a hotel,” Duma concluded. [antaranews/photo special]
