IMPLEMENTING HEALTH PROTOCOL, TAMAN SARI YOGYA WILL OPEN THIS WEEK

ONE of the tourist destinations in the city of Yogyakarta, Taman Sari, which has been closed since March, plans to reopen this week by implementing strict health protocols so as not to become a source of corona virus spread.

According to the Chairman of Taman Sari Tourism Village, Ibnu Titianto in Yogyakarta said the plan on Wednesday (8/7) began to reopen. We have also done a rough simulation for tourist reception.

According to him, the decision to reopen the destination was due to many residents in the village who depend their lives on the tourism service industry, while the assistance provided by the government has not been able to meet their daily needs.

He said that we had requested permission to the Yogyakarta Palace and also conveyed the plan to open the tourist destination to the Yogyakarta City Government.

“We already have a health protocol that is a reference, even we routinely spray disinfectants in the tourist village once every five days,” he said, who also said residents had set up a hand-washing place on the village road.

Armed with health protocol standards and community comintents, Ibnu said that this was the capital in reopening the tourist destination.

In addition, he continued, restrictions on the number of visitors will also be made so that tourists can still maintain a distance protocol, apply flow in and out of visitors, check body temperature, and scan QR codes.

“For this QR code, we are still waiting from the Yogyakarta City Government, calling the total tourist arrivals at Taman Sari could reach more than 400 people on weekends,” he noted.

Meanwhile Head of Tourism and Creative Economy of Yogyakarta Tourism Office, Edi Sugiharto, said that tourism managers can carry out self-assessments of health protocols that they already have.

“Each tour manager has been asked to draw up a health protocol to be simulated and evaluated. Because we do not have enough human resources, the manager can conduct a self assessment of the application of the protocol,” he said.

“Currently the Yogyakarta City Tourism Office together with the Health Office is completing the health protocol that must be applied in tourist attractions. Later, the protocol can be used as a reference for self-assessment,” he concluded. [antaranews]
