SANDIAGA ASKS BUSINESS PLAYERS TO INNOVATE DEVELOPS CREATIVE ECONOMY

THE MINISTER of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno asked every business player in various regions in Indonesia to be able to innovate to develop the potential of the creative economy which is currently still open.

Sandiaga in Malang City, East Java, Saturday (10/16) said that the Ministry of Tourism is committed and consistent to provide support and facilitation related to the development of the tourism sector and the creative economy through various programs.

“One of them needs innovation. Why should urban districts be encouraged to be creative, to have innovations,” said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga explained that innovation is one of the keys to advancing creative economy business players, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in all regions of Indonesia.

According to him, an innovation can be a provision for business players to be a step to strengthen competitiveness. Innovation must also take advantage of technological developments, such as the use of digital data.

“This innovation is our provision to be competitive. Innovation uses data, uses digital technology,” he said.

In addition to innovation, he continued, business players are adapting. Currently, the disease pandemic due to the spread of the Corona virus is still not over, so business players need to take adaptation steps so that the creative economy can continue to develop.

He added that his party had prepared the Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) protocol, which is one of the guidelines for tourism businesses and the creative economy to adapt in the midst of a pandemic.

In addition, he continued, collaborative efforts between business players are also needed. Collaboration is needed in an effort to expand networks and open up potential opportunities for cooperation between business players.

“I believe that with our gathering here, we will encourage the rise of the creative economy in Indonesia,” Sandiaga concluded. [special photo]
