TIKET.COM RECORDS 40% BUSINESS GROWTH THROUGHOUT 2021

THE ONLINE travel agency tiket.com recorded a business growth of 40% throughout 2021 when compared to the previous year. According to the company, this growth is a signal of the movement of the national tourism wheel, which is supported by the growth in vaccination rates, so that Indonesians are starting to dare to plan to travel again.

“Earlier this year, tiket.com has committed to focus on restoring national tourism,” said Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of tiket.com, Gaery Undarsa, through a press release on Tuesday (12/21).

To carry out this commitment, Gaery said his party is collaborating with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to run several programs on an ongoing basis, including aggressively promoting Indonesian tourism. Business performance in the fourth quarter of this year also skyrocketed by around 80 percent compared to the third quarter of 2021.

“This good business performance was triggered by several flagship programs of tiket.com, ranging from Every Day Low Prices for leading airlines, the launch of the BCA tiket.com Mastercard credit card, to the PayLater ticket feature,” Gaery Undarsa remarked.

In addition, he continued, the OTW (Online Tiket Week) event held by tiket.com was also said to have contributed greatly to the total bookings in the fourth quarter of this year. The company said flight ticket transactions jumped 45% in the OTW period compared to the previous two weeks.

“For next year’s business strategy, tiket.com targets a growth in the number of transactions in line with a significant rebound in holiday and tourism demand which is believed to continue to grow throughout 2022. Tiket.com will take a comprehensive and integrated approach to strengthen the business foundation in 2022,” he noted.

These strategic approaches include setting a price foundation, complete inventory of service products, and the ease of use of the tiket.com application. This, said Gaery, will provide more value to tiket.com customers and the Indonesian people in general. [traveltext.id/photo special]
