COLLABORATING with Alur as a marketing agency and also the community, DUA NAGARA held a painting exhibition with the theme ‘Beyond Nature’ from April 1 to 28, 2023. Opening on Saturday, April 1, 2023, around 21 paintings by Robert Nasrullah and Hajriansyah has exhibited at Art Kitchen and Creative Sharing Space, at Greenhost Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta, Central Java.
The exhibition will also be opened by Hairus Salim, a researcher and writer of social, religious and cultural essays. Meanwhile, Dua Nagara representative Robert Nasrullah, who will also open the painting exhibition, said that this exhibition is a manifestation of Dua Nagara’s existence from a lot of thought and planning. The works displayed are a showcase of two artists from Nagara, an area in the Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) region of South Kalimantan.
“This collaboration is one that we have been waiting for a long time. We chose Greenhost Boutique Hotel because it is a very representative place to present our expressionist works, which carry the spirit of optimism and hope,” said Robert Nasrullah, a representative of Dua Nagara.
The “Beyond Nature” exhibition is the second painting exhibition at Greenhost Boutique Hotel in 2023. The paintings on display are still based on and related to calligraphy with Arabic and Latin characters present separately, becoming a kind of decorative sentence.
“Entering the month of Ramadan, we really welcome the collaboration between Greenhost Boutique Hotel, Alur and Dua Nagara to hold this “Beyond Nature” Painting Exhibition. The theme is also in line with the atmosphere of Ramadan, a month full of blessings because of the connection with calligraphy writing,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ayom Group Corporate General Manager Vivie Elizabeth said that since in 2023 we have fully utilized our assets, namely Alur, and there is a 5% distribution for charity which will be collected at the end of 2023 to be donated to ‘retired’ artists, we hope that the works on display can also contribute.
