A NEW PROGRAM, BLIBLI ENCOURAGES THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF MSMEs

BLIBLI launched a new program to encourage the digital transformation of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The program is a collaboration between Galeri Indonesia & Blibli Mitra where MSME sellers in the Galeri Indonesia category can expand the market through a network of grocery store partners who are members of Blibli’s omnichannel solution, namely Blibli Mitra.

According to the CEO of Blibli, Kusumo Martanto in his official statement, Friday (7/16) said the collaboration resulting from the ecosystem owned by Blibli is a form of commitment to support the government, especially encouraging the digital transformation of MSME players in line with the ‘Proud Made in Indonesia’ National Movement so that people the easier it is to get local products both online and offline.

“Blibli has consistently realized its commitment to improve the skills and competitiveness of MSMEs in an integrated and comprehensive manner, one of which is by expanding market access for MSME players through our omnichannel solution, so that they can face challenges as well as develop through the use of digital technology,” said Blibli CEO, Kusumo. Martanto.

Currently, there are more than 45,000 grocery store partners who have joined Blibli Mitra throughout Indonesia. Kusumo said, with the increasing number of MSME products that are spread on the market in an omnichannel manner, more and more people will buy these products, so MSME sellers and grocery store entrepreneurs will be able to increase their business. This is expected to encourage the smooth running of retail activities at the micro level that can support the recovery of the national economy.

Kusumo added, Blibli will always consistently encourage the digital transformation of MSMEs through omnichannel solutions so that more MSME players are ready to do their business online and offline.

In this program, Blibli through the Indonesian Gallery category supports the entry of MSME players as suppliers of local products to grocery store owners who are members of Blibli Mitra. That way, the products in the grocery store will be more varied while increasing the potential for sales at the store.

Meanwhile, Teten Masduki, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, said that the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs welcomes the presence of programs that can support MSME players, which now number 64.2 million in Indonesia.

“MSMEs have contributed greatly, reaching 61.07% of the total GDP or 8.573 trillion and only 16% using e-commerce to market products. Therefore, the digitization of MSMEs needs to be continuously encouraged. That way they can get a chance to go to class,” said Teten Masduki.

Teten said, in improving MSMEs and strengthening supply chains, collaboration between various parties is very important and strategic to increase MSME competitiveness.

The collaboration program between ecosystems of a digital platform was also appreciated by SMESCO Indonesia, an institution under the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs in charge of helping access marketing for small and medium enterprises.

Likewise, Leonard Theosabrata, President Director of SMESCO Indonesia added, omnichannel is a value-added solution for MSME players to expand the market, because they can take advantage of online platforms as well as being in offline stores.

“Therefore, we will encourage SMESCO-assisted MSMEs to be involved in the Galeri Indonesia & Blibli Mitra program, to increase MSME sales and increase the diversification of grocery store products in Blibli Mitra,” he concluded. [sources/photo special]
